We do welcome junior professionals from around the world to practice in the selected hospitals, schools, hotels and companies in the country. We believe our partner organisations will equip our junior professionals with hands on experience and knowledge of the work in Tanzania and Africa at large. Through the internship practice, our junior professionals will be expected to be proactive in contributing their knowledge to the development of the places they will be working based on their tacit and explicit experiences. Sharing diverse knowledge will lead to the development and realisation of new ways in the host organisation.
Our internships are tailored to offer you additional competences of the experiences that you can rarely find at home. For the medical field, there will be a lot of learning apart from disease you will be dealing with and the structure of medical organization. The facilities and staff efforts while working with many patients will give you an additional competence while completing your career.
All of our internship positions are unpaid. In this manner we shall expect junior professionals who comes to work with us prepare in advance before making their decisions. We shall provide all key services to the arriving junior professionals. Junior professionals will also receive an upon arrival orientation to allow them stay abreast with the environment they are entering.
Our organisation will ensure that, during the assignments all incoming junior professionals have a chance to explore culture and visit different places in the country. Medical internships
As a medical practitioner, you will be able to join the team of related practitioners in your field and perform internal medicine, Obstetrics and gynaecology, dental care, patients in emergency unit, medication and prescription, laboratory and related activities. You will gain competence in tropical diseases treatments as well as the use of medication to cure.
By observing and participating in these activities, you will develop to a greater extent a new knowledge on diversified illnesses and especially tropical illnesses. For countries where internationalisation is booming such as in the USA, UK and Australia this experience is going to be an added value especially while working with patients who come from the tropical countries.
Requirements
Nursing internships
As a nurse you will join a friendly nursing team, in providing health counselling and education, working in wards with patients, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions. The main job will be in the patient relations and care alongside the employee of the hospital that you will be working. Your assignment will be associated with outpatient, casualty, emergency, maternity, antenatal, postnatal, and vaccination. Other areas of possibilities are paediatrics and child health, inpatient services including medical, surgical nursing.
Working in Tanzania as a nurse will give you a nursing experience of your life. A large number of patients and limited resources will open up a new perspective of managing healthcare work as a nurse. Working culture and different types of illnesses will open up new competences for your career development. By comparing the nursing between your own country and the experience that you will get in Tanzania you will have a possibility also to develop your home practices regarding treatment of a certain types of patients. Requirements
Social care internships
Depending to the area of specialisation social work interns will be placed mainly in schools, hospitals or in community support organisation for kids or under privileged. You will have a chance to work with local employees in supporting these communities in different aspects. Depending to the allocation, you will also be expected to share your knowledge on dealing with these kinds of groups as well as seeing how the Tanzanian ways differ if at all. A multicultural social work skill is the biggest gain that you will benefit from this experience.
You will support the cognitive development of clients you will be working with (mainly children). You will also offer mentorship and possibly plan the weekly routines of the clients you will work with alongside the host colleagues. Main areas will be client management and social care, developmental psychology, multicultural social care and professionalism at work with a social work perspective.
Requirements
Teaching internships
We shall be happy to accommodate apprentices in primary and secondary schools for teaching or learning the teaching methods. We will also be happy to welcome other sorts of interns who can work in a school environment. Each assignment inquiry will be dealt independently. For educational activities you will be placed in a school in Dar es Salaam or Kilimanjaro where you will be attached to a staff member of a school for your daily activities.
It is possible for teachers to come to Tanzania as a part of a small project or personal wish to develop an area of understanding. In case you do not wish to spend the whole time of your stay in one school, we shall be happy to see the best way that your assignment will be organised.

Hotel, Events and Hospitality Management Internships
All interns in this category will present the ideal set of competence that they wish to complete during the internship. Our company will discuss the requirements with the host hotel and come up with a task description that fulfills the applicants’ wishes. Our partner hotels are from three stars onwards and have a variety of international guests and activities including local and business events. Your tasks will be around service management, customer service management, housekeeping managements, food and beverage services, conference management, customer management and the alike.
Depending on your education level, you will take roles in the front desk, banquet, food preparation (kitchen), research activities, restaurant services, meeting services, information services, hotel management assistance, concierge, bar, room service and preparations, planning rosters, budgeting and other tasks possible.
