BRIEF ABOUT THE POSTS:

As an intern, you will be responsible of working with clients who are alcoholic or drug addicted. Your tasks will range between running extra programmes suitable for these kinds of clients, organise and develop one to one clients counselling as well as assisting them with copping with different mechanisms that will support their fast recovering. Moreover, planning of the programmes such as addicts' family counselling and education would be appreciated as well

In Tanzania there are not so many experts in the field of substance abuse who dedicate their work in drug or alcohol rehabilitation services. In this regard, workers in the centres are usually people who previously were addicts but recovered. Interns are recommended to have at least some knowledge in alcohol and drug client support. The work environment is rather independent. It is also recommended that you would join this programme with a colleague (as a pair) to be able to share ideas and responsibilities.

A programme fee will be charged per month for your internship. The fee will cover your accommodation in a shared room with one other colleague, breakfast and dinner, transport to work (if your work place is over 45 minutes away), support and operation costs, application processing and hotel supervision fees. You are responsible of your Air ticket, medical insurances, visa application costs and finances in case you will need to do any touristic travels or activities outside the internship programme in Tanzania.
